Mark A. Monaco Memorial Scholarship — 2005 Recipients

The not-for-profit foundation provided scholarships this to Maryvale High School seniors Michael Kowalski and Julie-Anne Zemiolo. Michael and his Dad golfed in the tournament; however Julie was unable to attend due to work commitments.

The recipients were chosen based on scholarship, activities and leadership and had to be accepted at an institution of higher learning.

Michael graduated fifth in his class and is attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for Mechanical Engineering. While at Maryvale, he was the J.V. and Varsity football captain and member of the baseball and indoor track teams.

Julie-Anne was a member of the National Honor Society and FBLA. She also participated in J.V. volleyball, powder puff football and volunteered at Children's Hospital and Camp Good Days among other things.
